This is my second blog post and I want to share some of the things that I would REALLY like to show you in the next few weeks!
Talented People: I am so lucky to have so many talented friends. Photographers, crafters, seamstresses, pickers, moviemakers, artists…oh my! I want to share their beauty with you because they are my chosen family & I know you’ll love them too!
Recipes: I will admit that I am not that fabulous in the kitchen. There are a few things that I’ve learned to make over the years that are tasty & easy, but I really don’t have “the gift” when it comes to cooking. This is practically blasphemy as I am of Cuban descent & every person I encounter asks if I cook Cuban cuisine. My grandmother, Ori, would probably not approve of my cooking skills, but what I CAN cook, I will share. Be on the lookout for Easy Black Beans, Stuffed Peppers, Pastelitos de Guava & more!
How-Tos: I love to craft! I like easy fixes & switcheroos that can change the look of a piece of furniture or a room without fancy tools or tons of cash.
Style: I also want to show you how to jazz up your everyday style with thrift store finds! Whatever your style, the thrift store has something for you. You might be surprised at how far a $10 bill can go!
You made it to the bottom of this post! You didn’t think I was going to leave you hanging without a tip, did you?
Tip: If you are on Facebook, you should look into local trade or yard sale pages for your area! A friend of mine invited me to one this time last year & I am so glad that she did because I’ve been able to get so many things for free, trade or for a small amount of money! Trade sites are usually a place to trade or barter for things while yard sale sites are items for sale. Have a pile of stuff that you don’t want? Join a trade or yard sale site, post a picture & wait! You could end up with a little extra cash or something you need. You might even make a connection with a person in your area! I always meet in a neutral area & let someone know where I’m going because safety is really important!
I hope to see you soon!
